Northern Bukidnon State College (NBSC) and the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Provincial Office of Bukidnon formalized their partnership through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for the implementation of the Green Leadership and Organizational Commitment in Environmental Sustainability (GLOCES) Project on September 3, 2026 at the DILG Provincial Office in Malaybalay City, Bukidnon.
The partnership aims to strengthen environmental governance by assessing and promoting green leadership, organizational commitment, and sustainability practices among local government units and private establishments in Bukidnon.
The GLOCES Project integrates research, institutional assessment, and public recognition through the GLOCES GAWAD (Green Action and Workforce Award for Development) Recognition Program, which will recognize outstanding environmental initiatives and innovations.
The MOU signing was led by NBSC College President Dr. Christie Jean Villanueva-Ganiera, CESE, and DILG Provincial Director Rhona Pedraza-Abadilla, with the GLOCES Research Team, headed by Dr. Josefino M. Ladao, Jr., serving as witnesses.
Through the collaboration, NBSC and DILG seek to promote evidence-based environmental governance, climate resilience, community engagement, and continuous institutional improvement across Bukidnon.
